Roderick Reed has been in the financial field for over 11 years. He is a Series 7 and 63 licensed representative with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Rod initially started in the financial industry as a Bond Broker offering tax-free bonds to retirees and those looking to preserve capital. Rod has worked for some of the largest financial firms in the world. He began his career in financial planning with American Express Financial Advisors where he recognized the importance of helping clients build wealth through financial planning rather than just working on a segment of the financial situation. Over the next several years he created their financial plans through meeting with clients regularly and asking important questions regarding their personal financial situation. During this time, he also worked for AXA Advisors and MetLife Financial Services where he discovered that many of his clients were also business owners, and had other dreams outside of working for someone. Unfortunately, he noticed that financial firms were and are less interested in helping their clients build a solid business. Rod is currently a Corporate Relationship Manager for one of fastest growing internet firms in the world. He manages over 350 clients and more than 300 million in assets. His clients consist of executives from many of the top fortune 500 companies. He assist these executives and company insiders in the exercising of their equity compensation plans, helping them to understand the types of transactions they can place and the tax consequences of such transactions. He assists them in the execution of their stock options and helps them to build a game plan in liquidating their stock option holdings. Upon liquidation, he engages the client in a more in-depth conversation to understand what is important to them regarding their financial situation and how he might explore investment opportunities to add value to their situation. It is through such interaction that he is able to propose solutions and make recommendations to help them meet their goals.
